The Brenau volleyball team (4-5, 0-5) lost their fifth straight conference match tonight in Rome as the Shorter Hawks (5-10, 1-3) swept them in three games 25-21, 25-14, and 25-21. Two freshmen played very well in the match for the Tigers as Alexis Arthur (5 kills, 3 digs and 3 blocks) and Kelsey Aley (7 kills, 1 dig and 8 blocks) had big nights. Sophomore Meredith Hardin (3 kills, 1 ace and 6 blocks) also had a nice game. Juniors Audra VanArsdale (13 assists) and Karen Green (3 kills, 1 assist, 5 digs and 4 blocks) also made nice contributions. Next up for the Golden Tigers will be another SSAC matchup at Southern Wesleyan on Saturday.
