The Golden Tigers volleyball team (3-1, 0-1)opened their conference season tonight at Reinhardt College and came up short in three straight games (17-25, 15-25, and 19-25). One bright spot for Brenau was the play of freshman Kelsey Aley who had 4 kills, 1 assist, 2 digs and 4 blocks in the match. Others who made contributions were Karen Green with 5 kills, 2 assists, 5 digs and 3 blocks, Alexis Arthur (4 kills, 3 digs and 3 blocks), and Meredith Hardin (3 kills, 1 dig and 6 blocks). "Our blocking was very good tonight, but mental errors really hurt us with too many unforced errors that gave away points," said Coach Meredith Matthews. The Tigers will now travel to Brewton Parker on Saturday for another conference matchup.
