“At Ted’s our mission is to ‘eat great and do good.’  We created this 5K to help bring together the community for some good fun while supporting four local non-profits that are dedicated to protecting the environment,” said George McKerrow Jr., president and CEO of Ted’s Montana Grill.

McKerrow will kick off both the Bison Stampede fun run and 5K on Oct. 4.  After the run, Ted’s Montana Grill will host a post-race party in the Turner Building secured parking lot at 133 Luckie St.  Runners and spectators will enjoy a special awards ceremony, music by B98.5 FM, free bison sliders and beverages courtesy of Coca-Cola® and SweetWater Brewing Company. Captain Planet and the Atlanta Dream mascot, Star, will make appearances at this event.

About Ted’s Montana Grill
Ted’s Montana Grill was co-founded in 2002 by McKerrow and Ted Turner, the media entrepreneur, environmentalist and philanthropist.  Authenticity is a way of life at Ted’s – from fresh food made from scratch, to a dining ambiance that evokes the feeling of being in a turn-of-the-century Montana grill and bar. In keeping with Turner’s passion for the environment, Ted’s Montana Grill is an eco-friendly restaurant company that has been widely recognized for its green restaurant practices.  Nearly all of the paper, plastic, aluminum and glass products used in the restaurants are recycled.  Soft drinks come in recyclable glass bottles and, instead of plastic, eco-friendly paper straws and wooden stirrers are used for drinks.  To-go items, such as cups and cutlery, are made from biodegradable products using corn and potato starches.  The restaurants also feature low-voltage, compact fluorescent lighting in guest areas and have water-efficient fixtures in the kitchens and restrooms.  There are currently 57 Ted’s Montana Grill restaurants in 19 states. For more information, visit www.tedsmontanagrill.com.
