Lisa Minish, a pitcher/second baseman from Commerce High School, has signed a letter of intent to play softball for Brenau University beginning in the fall of 2008. Minish will graduate next spring from Commerce and plans to join the Golden Tigers beginning in the fall of 2008. She was selected as the 8A Player of the Year in 2005 and was also an All State member. She has been a 4 time All Northeast Georgia Team member as well as a 3 time All Region honoree. Lisa has a .408 career batting average in high school with 14 home runs, 70 doubles, 27 triples and 231 runs batted in. She has a career .92 ERA with 961 strikeouts. Coach Devon Thomas says this about Minish, "Lisa has proven in her career to be a clutch hitter and possesses a tremendous amount of power at the plate for her size. On defense she is a versatile middle infielder and has great confidence when she takes the mound. She is totally committed to softball and will be another great addition to our 2008-09 recruiting class."
