All four of Brenau University's swimmers have now qualified for the NAIA National Meet in San Antonio, TX in February by meeting qualifying standards in various races this season. In the latest outing, Brenau finished 6th in a 10 team field at the Savannah College of Art and Design Invitational last weekend. Melissa Bofto had the best swim of the meet in the 400 IM with a career best time of 5:03.45, which is 14 seconds under the qualifying time. All four girls qualified in the 1650 freestyle on Friday, with Lindsey Duprey leading the way in 19:04.06, which was good enough for 10th place overall. She was followed by Alyson Sapp, Sarah Fell and Bofto. Sapp also finished 3rd in the 50 freestyle (25.73), and swam in the 400 freestyle relay team that also qualified for Nationals. Fell finished 13th in the 200 breaststroke (2:43.81) as well as the relay. Duprey finished 6th in the 200 free, and also swam in the relay.
