The Brenau women's cross country team ran their best race of the season on Saturday at the SSAC/Region 13 Championships at Berry College, finishing in 6th place in the field of 11 teams. Senior Rachel Nodine closed out her running career at Brenau with a personal best 21:07 and 21st place finish in the region. She was followed by Monica Muchene (22:00, 32nd), JoJo Booth (22:04, 34th), Audra Cochran (22:20, 37th), and Katrina Beck (23:19, 57th). It was the best overall performance of the season and bodes well for the future of cross country at Brenau. Coach Susan McIntyre was encouraged by the result and said, "If we continue to improve like we did this year and recruit a couple of strong runners to go with our returners, we will move up the ladder in the conference."
