Published Jan 7, 2008

WHAT:

The 2008 Atlanta Boat Show is rolling out the red carpet to host the awards ceremony on Jan. 9 for Boating Magazine’s “Boat of the Year” Award.  Regarded as one of the marine industry’s highest honors, the 2007 grand-prize winner is the Yamaha AR230 High Output.  The AR230 High Output model was chosen based on its sales success in its class, innovative design and fresh thinking.  The AR230 High Output is the first time a jet driven boat has been awarded this honor.

“We’re really proud and honored to host Boating Magazine’s awards ceremony this year,” said Larry Berryman, show manager for the Atlanta Boat Show.  “The ceremony will be a great way to kick off the show by honoring a Georgia-based company for their achievements in the boating industry.”

The Boating Magazine Boat of the Year Award is chosen by the magazine’s editorial staff and is based on performance, innovation and value.  The magazine is the most widely read powerboat magazine in the world.
