Coach Devon Thomas has landed an outstanding early recruit for next season by signing Jessie Bryant from Trion High School. Jessie is a two time All Region, All Area and All State performer in high school. She also holds the record at her school for most career stolen bases. Her high school honors extend beyond the softball field as a four-year member of the student council, class treasurer for three year, Senior Class President and Miss THS for 2007. She is also an active member of FCA, FCCLA and FSA. "Jessie will be a great addition to our team and university next year," said Coach Thomas. "She possesses great bat control and has tremendous speed on the bases. She is also an exceptionally strong defensive player that can cover a lot of ground in the field."
