Coach Devon Thomas has announced yet another addition to his 2008-09 recruiting class with the signing of Autumn Brooke Bryant yesterday. Brooke will graduate from Franklin County High School in Franklin Springs in May in the top 10% of her class. She was a member of the 2007 8AAA All Region Team, while serving as team captain and accumulating a .341 batting average and .510 on base percentage. Bryant has also played basketball and was selected as Homecoming Queen this past fall, in addition to her participation in FCA, Beta Club and Lions Pride (all A's) for four years. "Brooke will be a great asset for our program next season. She is a great defensive infielder with a strong arm and very quick hands. She also possesses great range in the middle of the infield. She is a switch hitter with very good speed and looks to make an immediate impact next season," said Coach Thomas.
