Brenau swimmers won two meets in LaGrange, Ga., on Sat., Nov 18th. Swimming against both LaGrange College and Darton College of Albany, Ga., Brenau scored 62 to 29 against LaGrange and 61 to 19 against Darton.
Nov. 18, 2006 Brenau swimmers won two meets in LaGrange, Ga., on Sat., Nov 18th. Swimming against both LaGrange College and Darton College of Albany, Ga., Brenau scored 62 to 29 against LaGrange and 61 to 19 against Darton. Individual winners for Brenau were: Viv Fleming - 50 Free and 100 Breast, Khayriyyah El-amin - 100 Fly, Katie Carpenter - 100 Back. Brenau also won both relays - the 200 yards Medley and Free. NAIA National qualifying times were achieved by El-amin in the 100 fly and by Carpenter in the 200 IM. The 200 yards freestyle relay (Carpenter, El-amin, Fleming and Clarice Brown) also achieved the national qualifying time. Additional Brenau swimmers that scored were: Maxine Bone, Brigid Hook, Cati Smith and Ria Thweatt.
