The Brenau softball team (23-14, 7-11) got back on the winning track Wednesday with a sweep of Southern Wesleyan (15-28, 4-14) 4-3 in 8 innings and 5-1 in an SSAC matchup on the road. In game one, Marisa Litster went the distance, recording 10 strikeouts. Run support was provided by Carrie Brookshire (3-4, 2 doubles, RBI), Tori Faub (2-4, RBI) and Colleen Sparrow, who provided the game winning hit in the 8th inning. Missy Herren took the mound for the second game and also went the distance, with 11 K's. Faub and Maggie Renfro were 2-3, Brookshire drove in two runs, and Katie Hulsey hit a double with an RBI. Next up for Brenau will be a critical doubleheader with Shorter on Saturday.
