The Brenau softball team closed out their fall season Saturday with the 4th annual hit-a-thon fundraiser with Truett McConnell and defended their title. Seniors Cassie Lassiter and Marisa Litster tied for the title on Home Run Champ. Freshman Jessie Bryant won the speed competition for Brenau by posting a time of 11.37 from home to home. The Tigers finished their fall season with an impressive 9-1 record against NCAA DII and Junior College opponents. They outscored the opponents by a total of 59-8 while the six pitchers combined for a total ERA of just .78 for the fall. Coach Devon Thomas said, "Every member on the team contributed to this year's successful fall season and we are going to continue to work extremely hard for the rest of the fall in the weight room and prepare ourselves for the spring season." Brenau opens their spring schedule at home on February 21 against LaGrange at 1:00.
