The Brenau softball team (21-12, 5-9) fell twice Sunday to the Shorter Hawks (31-9, 11-5) 5-2 and 8-0 at the Lanier Point Soccer Complex. With the win, Shorter moves into second place in the SSAC, and the Tigers drop to seventh place. In game one, Marisa Litster pitched a complete game and was supported offensively by Maggie Renfro (2-4), Tori Fobb (1-4), Colleen Sparrow (1-2, RBI), and Katie Hulsey (1-3). In the second game, Missy Herren pitched to all but two batters. Carren Brookshire was 2-2 and Renfro went 1-3 in a six inning game. Next up for the Tigers will be a SSAC doubleheader at Lee on Tuesday.
