The Brenau soccer team opened the conference season today on the road at Brewton Parker and came away with a 5-2 win to run their overall record to 3-2 and 1-0 in conference play. Senior forward Alyssa Schmucker (Cochran, GA) had three goals in the game, with some great help from Senior Ashley Tittle-Colquitt (Hull, GA) who assisted on three goals and had one of her own. Freshman Geneve Lopez also recorded a goal in the win. Marilyn Anderson had an assist and was very strong in the midfield. Hannah Martin and Kelly Young were excellent defensively as Brewton Parker was only able to muster two shots on goal, both of which ended up in the net. The Barons scored first in the game, but Brenau took a 2-1 lead into halftime and then scored the first three goals of the second half to take control.
