The powerful Lee University volleyball team (10-1, 3-0) came to Brenau tonight and found that the Tigers (3-3, 0-3) were much improved and could, at times, play right with the Flames. Lee prevailed 25-15, 25-20, and 25-22, but Brenau served notice that they are moving their program in the right direction. Junior hitter Karen Green played well for the Tigers with six kills, 4 assists and one ace. Junior setter Audra VanArsdale played her usual steady game with 4 kills, 5 assists, 3 digs, 2 blocks and 2 aces. Freshman Alexis Arthur performed well with 2 kills, 2 assists, 5 digs and one block. Junior libero Maida Smajic had 14 digs in the match and Meredith Hardin recorded 3 kills. Brenau will host a tri-match Saturday with Columbia, SC and Toccoa Falls, with the first match starting at 2 pm.
