Brenau's tennis team competed in their second tournament in two weeks as they played in the ITA Regional Championships in Montgomery, AL this weekend. In doubles action, the team of Paula Ghilardotti and Jolene Wong advanced all the way to the semi-finals before losing to AUM's top team of Sescioreanu and Veverkova. On the way to the semis, they beat the #1 team from Shorter in convincing style 8-4. Luba Orlova, Hannah Thompson and Ghilardotti all advanced to the second round. Orlova was forced to retire in the next round with an ankle injury. After winning the first three sets in the first round, Ghilardotti fell 6-1, 6-1 to Herz, the Berry #1. Thompson had another long match, losing to DeBeaucoudrey 7-5, 6-4.
