The Brenau Golden Tigers (18-3, 4-2) had a tough night Monday when they hosted Emmanuel (12-7, 5-5) in a SSAC matchup and lost both games 10-2 (5) and 7-2. The Tigers had just traveled to Franklin Springs last week and won both games against Emmanuel. In the first game Marisa Litster started on the mound, but was replaced by Missy Herren in the first inning, who recorded 3 strikeouts. Offensive support came from Herren (1-3), Katie Hulsey (1-2), Nicole Burt (1-2) and Maggie Renfro (2-3, 1 RBI). Litster came back in the second game and notched 6 strikeouts, with Herron and Caitlin Kelly relieving. Carrie Brookshire (2-3), Hulsey (3-3, 1 RBI), Burt (1-3) and Colleen Sparrow (1-2) provided the offensive punch. The Tigers played North Greenville, SC at Lanier Point Wednesday night.
