The Brenau softball team traveled to Rome for the Shorter Invitational Tournament Saturday and came away with two wins and a loss. The wins were 3-1 over Tennessee Wesleyan and 8-0 over Covenant. Campbellsville, KY, ranked #17 in the latest NAIA poll came from behind in the bottom of the 7th to win 4-3 after Brenau had a 3-1 lead with one out. Senior Hillyer Flynt had a big day at the plate, going 4-8 with a homerun. Missy Herren picked up the win in the Tennessee Wesleyan game and Marisa Litster got the victory against Covenant. The Golden Tigers will host #7 Shorter Tuesday at the Lanier Point Softball Complex in a key SSAC matchup.
