Coach Gabby Matthews has announced that Mafubo Ujeneza will be joining the Brenau swim team for the 2008-09 season. Mafubo will be graduating in the Spring of 2009 in Accounting and plans to continue on with her MBA at Brenau. She swam competitively at Brookhouse High School in Nairobi, Africa and this will be her first year of swimming at the collegiate level. "I noticed Mafubo while watching her swim the 500 yards test for our lifeguarding course. She is a natural swimmer and will improve tremendously once training with our Brenau team," said Coach Matthews. Mafubo is an excellent student, fluent in Kinyarwanda, French and English and will bring responsibility and passion to the team.
