Shorter ended the playoff hopes for the Brenau soccer team on Tuesday night with a narrow 1-0 victory at the Allen Creek Soccer Complex. The heartbreaking defeat eliminates the Golden Tigers from the conference playoffs next week for the first time in three years. Shorter got on the board with about 10 minutes to play in the game, and Brenau had plenty of chances to tie or win the game, but just couldn't get the ball in the net. The Tigers will end their season on Saturday when they travel to Faulkner. Three seniors, Jenny England, Karleigh Fusia and Amber Snavely, played their final home game and were recognized before the contest for their contributions to the program for the past four years.
