It was a nasty day at Thomasville, Georgia on Saturday, and in a match that was shortened by seven minutes and endured a 30 minute rain delay, The Golden Tigers soccer team (4-3-1, 1-1) played to a 2-2 draw with Thomas University (3-4-1). Lily Futrell opened up the scoring with a nice goal at the 23:00 mark in the first half on an assist by Marilyn Anderson. Thomas answered with a goal of their own to make it 1-1 at the half. The home team then scored another goal after the delay at the 30:00 mark. Sophomore Leanne Rowley then scored an unassisted goal at 14:00 left in the match from 25 yards out. The rains returned at 7:00 and the match was called at that point. Brenau goes on the road next Wednesday to Reinhardt for an important SSAC matchup.
