Brenau Soccer Adds Player

Published May 2, 2008

Coach Mike Lochstampfor announces the signing of another player for the fall with the addition of Tori Futrell, Jenkins High School in Savannah. Tori was the MVP, Best Offense, Best Defense, and Captain of her high school team. She was also selected for the Region 3-AAAAA Soccer Team and currently holds the record for most goals scored (34 goals, 4 assists in 2007). She is also an outstanding softball player, having been named the MVP of her high school softball team. Her academic honors include Mock Trial, National Honor Society, and Key Club. She was also dual enrolled at Armstrong Atlantic University and made the Deans's List. Tori's sister, Lily, has been an all-conference performer for the Golden Tigers for the past two seasons and will return for her junior season. "Tori will be a tremendous addition to our program just as Lily has proven to be over the last two years. She is a proven goal scorer but is also equally effective in a defensive role. I look forward to having another Futrell on our team- she will bring a great deal more than talent, she also has a great attitude and work ethic and we are thrilled to have her join our program," said Lochstampfor.
