A Young Man's Bucket List

Published May 20, 2008

Brett Rounsaville had the dream joba designer for Disney. But, he
could see himself caught in a cycle with the world whirling past and he still working at Disney 25 years later. This is where Amtrekker.com came in. Brett decided to develop a website listing his own bucket list but with a few rules. He had to finish all 50 experiences before he can
return home, he can not spend any money for lodging and his tasks vary from the common to the extreme.

Since last year he has been crisscrossing the country, meeting and
experiencing the best and the weird of America. In southern California he was featured on the local news and an idea came to Carolyn Allison, marketing representative for Wildwater Rafting.. She works for a whitewater rafting company and one of Brett¹s tasks is to river kayak. She would help fulfill task number 31-to river kayak and on the Deliverance River, no less.

Brett is going to do just that Thursday May 22 with Wildwater Rafting.
They are based on the Chattooga River which forms the state line
between Georgia and South Carolina and there is no better place to be introduced to whitewater. The Chattooga is the birthplace of whitewater in the Southeast, the location of James Dickey's novel and, with the help of the movie, launched an industry still going strong after 36 years.

He is also looking to finish task #14-make moonshine while in the south but that is becoming quite a challenge. What he has been able to finish is easy tasks like entering a hot do eating contest to tell Donald Trump ³you¹re Fired.² Brett will be in Long Creek, SC for his kayaking adventure later this week.

Come find out what made this young man take this journey, who and what has been the strangest encountered he has had and what is next on his list of adventures.
