Leaf and limb pick up begins October 6 in the City of Gainesville. Leaves should be placed in piles along the back of the curb and will be removed by vacuum machines. For the purpose of leaf collection Gainesville is divided into two zones.
ZONE (1) ONE: Contains all portions of the City west of a line down Thompson Bridge Road (SR60), along Green Street and south along E.E. Butler (US 129).
ZONE (2) TWO: Contains all portions of the City east and north of a line down Thompson Bridge Road (SR60), along Green Street and south along E.E. Butler (US129).
Leaf collection will alternate between the two zones:
