Camp Kingfisher offers a summer of fun with nature for campers entering grades kindergarten through ninth. Each session focuses on a specific topic and is full of hands-on nature activities. Activities include:

CAMP K TRAVELERS – for campers entering 8th & 9th grade
Especially designed for older campers to explore Georgia in a new way. Trips include hiking, biking, caving, paddling, a CNC overnight & high ropes course. Limit 10 campers in each session so sign up early.
LEADERSHIP TRAINING – for student entering 10th, 11th or 12th grade
Join the Leadership and Naturalist Training (LIT) Program for instruction and experience in handling animals, leading hikes, playing with kids, & leading canoe lessons. All hours are eligible for volunteer service credits.

Fly Fishing Workshop

Join Chris Scalley, owner of River Through Atlanta guide service, who will be teaching proper fishing techniques for both the beginner and the expert. Where Do the Children Play – Film Screening and Discussion

A new documentary film that examines an issue of growing concern among pediatricians, mental health experts, educators, and environmentalists: more and more children are growing up today with little or no opportunity for unstructured play, especially outdoors. Where Do the Children Play? grew out of Elizabeth Goodenough’s work on “secret spaces of childhood” at the University of Michigan. The film was written and directed by Christopher Cook and produced by Michigan Television. Possum Trot 30th Annual 10K Road Race & Fun Run
