The Gainesville Police have arrested two subjects in connection with an Armed Robbery that occurred (05-23-08) at 11:24 a.m. The incident occurred at the business of Audio One located at 1190 Jesse Jewell Parkway.
The victim is identified as Yeon Chung, 51 years old of Suwanee, Ga. The victim reported that two black males entered his business and began a discussion with him regarding electronics equipment. The victim reports that as he was speaking with the males, one of them sprayed him in the face with pepper spray and then both of the males took several hundred dollars worth of electronics equipment and left the location occupying a dark colored Chevrolet Tahoe.
A lookout was issued on the suspect’s and their vehicle and with the assistance of the Hall County Sheriff’s Office the vehicle was located driving in the area of Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd shortly after the issuance of the lookout. Officers initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and the occupants were taken into custody without incident.
The arrested are indentified as:
Tracy Lipscomb, 22 years old of Gainesville, Ga. He is charged with one count of Armed Robbery.
Don Duran Richardson, 21years old of Gainesville, Ga. He is charged with one count of Armed Robbery.
The victim was treated on scene regarding his exposure to pepper spray and released. The exact amount of the property taken and its location is unknown at this time.
The incident is still under investigation by members of the Gainesville Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division.
