It's not too late to register to be part of the Healthy Marriage Initiative in Gainesville and surrounding cities. The marriage coaching classes are funded by the State of Georgia and offered through the Gainesville-Hall County Community Service Center free of charge. Classes include one-on-one coaching Monday-Friday and group coaching sessions on Saturday. In 2006, 1119 couples were married in Hall County and 872 filed for divorce. Couples who participate in at least six hours of premarital instruction will receive a discount on their marriage license. The program ends September 30. For more information call the Community Service Center at 770-503-3330 or email
Jenise A. Proctor, Coordinator of Family Services.
