Commuters and employers searching for ways to reduce the burden of high gas prices have a new online resource at their disposal – CleanAirCampaign.com. This updated version of The Clean Air Campaign’s Web site has been restructured, simplified and outfitted with tools to provide users with easy access to solutions for their commuting problems.
The new CleanAirCampaign.com features several interactive elements that give commuters a chance to “be part of it,” including:
· A weekly poll
· A blog to spark dialog among commuters, employers and concerned citizens
· Testimonials from commuter champions, everyday people who are making a clean commute work
· Success stories from employers, schools and more
The new site also makes it easier than ever to earn cash, win prizes and discover the latest promotions. Plus, The Clean Air Campaign is jumping into the fray as its bloggers share anecdotes, discuss the future of transportation in Georgia and offer insider tips to beat high gas prices.
“Our mission is about motivating commuters to make a change,” said Clean Air Campaign Executive Director Kevin Green . “But they need to know why changing their commute is worthwhile. They need to see how others have made clean commuting a part of their daily lives. CleanAirCampaign.com is an informative and engaging resource for commuters, employers and schools that want to join our efforts to reduce traffic and clean up the air.”
In conjunction with the new site, The Clean Air Campaign has also launched a MySpace page at www.myspace.com/cleanaircampaign. The page will feature videos, latest news, and conversation about clean air lifestyles, traffic and (of course!) high gas prices.
About The Clean Air Campaign
The Clean Air Campaign is a not-for-profit organization that works with Georgia’s employers, commuters and schools to encourage actions that result in less traffic congestion and better air quality. To accomplish this goal, The Clean Air Campaign, along with its associate organizations, partners with more than 1,100 employers to create custom commute options programs; and annually helps thousands of commuters find commute alternatives that work for them, providing financial incentives to get them started. The Clean Air Campaign also protects public health by issuing Smog Alerts and empowers children, parents and teachers to play a positive role in reducing traffic and cleaning the air through a multi-faceted education program reaching elementary and middle schools.
Each day, these programs reduce 1.2 million miles of vehicle travel and keep 600 tons of pollution out of the air we breathe. For more information, call 1-877-CLEANAIR (1-877-253-2624) or visit CleanAirCampaign.com.
