Make Your Plans to Attend a FairTax Meeting in Your County

Here is a better explanation of this weeks meetings. They are Congressman Nathan Deal's Town Hall Meetings.

At a meeting last year in Gainesville, GA, attended by about 20 FairTax supporters, Mr. Deal admitted he had not read the book or the bill. That may have changed by now. When questioned, Congressman Deal said he relies on Congressman John Linder to keep him up to speed on the bill. That would be fine, but Congressman Linder does not represent the people of the 9th Congressional District. Linder is not present at our 9th District Town Hall meetings and at other venues around the 9th District to answer questions about FairTax and how it might affect a specific concern of a 9th District voter. That is Congressman Deal's job.

We are respectfully telling Congressman Deal that we need much more than his pen; we need his voice in support of the FairTax bill in every county of the 9th District and we expect to hear it -- loud and clear -- soon. If Governor Mike Huckabee can build a national campaign around the FairTax bill in a few months, then our Congressman Nathan Deal should be able to do this in three years.

I would like you all to understand what will happen in the next election. Any of our elected officials that are up for re-election and that have signed the FairTax bill will face a full frontal
attach from their opponent. They will come under a broadside blast and so will FairTax. We saw this in the last election and those that did not understand the bill ran away from it. In Georgia we have more armor, because of Neal Boortz, John Linder and the grassroots work we have done here. Each year we become even stronger. If Congressman Deal does not do his homework and he faces opposition, he will face the same attach. It is up to us to be sure we can defend his position on FairTax. The question is: will Congressman Deal defend FairTax? We need to be sure he is as sharp as Govenor Mike Huckabee is on FairTax. At the Town Hall meeting do not attack our Congressman. What we need to do is to challenge him on his support of the bill in the 9th District. It's time he started speaking up and helping us. Ask him questions about what he is doing to get the bill passed and other general questions such as how will the Fairtax effect the poor, what about mortgage-interst deductions, etc. Questions you know the answer to and so should Congressman Deal.

Make your plans to attend a meeting in your county now - and wear a FairTax shirt. Carry a FairTax sign. If you can't go to the meeting in your county, can you make it to a neighboring county?

I have signs, T-shirts, Hats, and bumper stickers. We need donations for these items since our district is all volunterr and we had to come up with the money to purchase these items ourselves. I live in Buford and will be in Gainesville & Lawrenceville all this week. Contact me if you can meet with me to get any of the items mentioned above. My cell is the best way to reach me at 404-667-1404.
Thank You,
Stella Early
