Over the last 16 years, Hall County has had inconsistent and incompetent leadership. This is a serious charge so let me back it up with some facts.
Fact #1 My opponent promised to only serve 6 terms in the House of Representatives. He has currently been in office for 8 terms and is seeking a 9th.
Fact #2 My opponent promised not to accept money from political action committees, but over the last two years ALONE he has accepted money from over 10 different PACs.
Fact #3 My opponent claims to support the Homestead Tax Refund, but he voted against the initiative in 1999.
Now my opponent says this, "I support changing the law back to require disclaimers on campaign advertising to provide transparency in campaigns. The public deserves to know the identity of those who are expending large resources trying to affect elections."
Yet he voted for this bill!
James Mills can't have it both ways. If he didn't want the law changed, he should have voted against HB 1112. Let me guess- this is another piece of legislation that he didn't read before he voted.
Hall County needs real leadership. Leadership that understands that the people of House District 25 do not like anonymous negative politics. Leadership that understands that band-aid approaches like collecting taxes from deceased and bankrupt people will not help the current budget deficit. Leadership that will not propose opening emergency lanes as a solution to Atlanta traffic gridlock.
Hall County needs a representative that can look at the issues and make smart decisions- not redundant, inconsistent, and incompetent ones.
