Hall County Fire Services is accepting applications for Camp LifeSavers, a one-day safety camp for local children. The dates for this event are July 29th and July 31st. On July 29th, we are looking for children ages 6-8 years old, basically kindergarten through 2nd grade. On July 31st, we are looking for those children ages 9-11, or 3rd through 5th grade. The camp will be held at Laurel Park, and there is no fee for this event. The times for both days are 9:00am until 4:00pm.
The activities that are scheduled for the children are age specific, so we try not to mix the two age groups. Older children may not be challenged with the activities for the younger children, while younger children are overwhelmed by the "big kids".
Children will learn a variety of safety skills, through games, arts and crafts, and other activities. Lunch will be provided and all those attending will receive a free t-shirt.
Parents must register their children and may do so by accessing the Hall County Fire Services website, at www.hallcounty.org/fireservices, and printing off the registration form. This can be mailed or fax to the location indicated on the form. Registration is limited to the first 25 children, so register soon!
