Five Students Arrested For Marijuana Possession

Five North Hall High School Students have been charged with possession of marijuana.

The School Resource Officer assigned to North Hall High School assisted by Sheriff's Office Investigators has arrested Five (5) North Hall High School Students for possession of marijuana. The juveniles, three 14 year olds and two 16 year olds, were each charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana. Two of the14 year olds were also charged with Possession with intent to distribute.

The two 14 year old students charged with intent to distribute were detained at the Regional Youth Detention Center (RYDC) and the other three students, two 16 year olds and one 14 year old, were released to the custody of their parents.

The investigation of incidents related to the arrests has been ongoing since first reported to the North Hall High SRO (school resource officer) on Wednesday, November 19, 2008.  Due to the students being juveniles no names will be released. 

As a result of their arrest and per the Hall County School System, Student Code of Conduct, all five (5) students have been suspended from school, pending a disciplinary tribunal.   

This incident remains under investigation by the Hall County Sheriff's Office.
