FairTax Reminds You That Georgia Has a Primary Election on July 15th

In case you are unaware, there is a statewide Georgia primary election on July 15th.  The Eastern 9th district (Hall, White, Forsyth,Lumpkin, Dawson counties) Fairtax volunteers have decided that an action step towards getting the FairTax passed is to poll those up for election in the July 15th primaries to see who knows about the FairTax and who is in favor of it and who is against it and share this information with everyone.

However, in my research of those up for election I have found that this task is too big for me alone.  In this primary election you can only vote straight Republican or straight Democrat and every precinct has a different ballot.  For instance, there are 18 different ballots in Hall County alone. Every county has several Comission Districts, Board of Education Districts, City Council Wards (4 different Wards in the city of Gainesville alone!), different state house representatives and different state senate representatives.  If you live in Buford but not the city limits like I do, you do not vote on "city" issues/candidates, only county.

I am asking everyone for help in this matter.  I need someone from each precinct to request a sample ballot for which ever political party you will be voting for in the primary, contact those candidates via email or phone and ask them if they know what the FairTax is and if so, are they for it or against it?  Then email me with their responses so that I can share them with everyone. I have no way of knowing which of you are in a particular precinct so I can not assign a specific person to a specific precinct, I need volunteers!  Please help!!  I am in precinct 037 so I will be responsible for it.  Any takers for other precincts???

If you do not know your precinct you can go to http://sos.georgia.gov/elections/polllocator/ .  To request a sample ballot you can go to http://sos.georgia.gov/cgi-bin/CountyRegistrarsIndex.asp , find you counties contact information and call them to request a sample ballot via fax or email or it may even be on-line at your counties website.
