Adopt A US Soldier is a volunteer-based, 501 (3) c non-profit organization that connects supportive civilians with deployed soldiers and offers a channel by which to communicate encouragement and express gratitude to the brave men and women serving the United States. The organization is sustained by the efforts of its volunteer workforce located across the United States. Since its inception in January 2005, roughly 25 Adopt A US Soldier volunteers have connected over 189,080 supporters in 71 countries and territories worldwide with tens of thousands of our deployed service men and women via an online registration process atwww.adoptaussoldier.org

Adopt A US Soldier participants’ supportive contributions mean so much to the brave men and women serving our nation.

There are many citizens who want to support the troops fighting overseas. Our Organization connects military personnel who would like to be “adopted” with people who would like to provide support and recognition via letters and care packages. To provide additional means of support to our military personnel, Adopt A US Soldier is accepting monetary donations (via PayPal) to ensure its objective of improving deployment quality of life and morale is sustained. Adopt A US Soldier is also always looking for corporate sponsors to donate products and/or services to our deployed service men and women. All donations are fully tax deductible and greatly appreciated.

The Web site features an audio feed of “Letters Home,” an Edward R Murrow Award-winning documentary that aired on 850KOA Radio in Denver, Colorado; a “community” message board; a page of mailing regulations (including prohibited items); a list of suggested care package items; a resources page with various links; a photo gallery; and a monetary donation page.
