Published Dec 2, 2008

Brenau Chamber Choir will present its annual holiday concert at 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 8, at Pearce Auditorium on the campus at Brenau University. The concert is free and open to the public.

According to Michelle Roueché, director of choral activities in the university’s music department, the choir will presents a Christmas cantata by Bach and perform various carols. However, for the first time, the choir will then share the stage with the Gainesville State College Choir and Brenau’s Spectrum Singers for a performance of the electrifying Christmas Cantata by American composer Daniel Pinkham.

The Brenau choir is scheduled to perform Friday, Dec. 5, at the famed Biltmore Estate in Asheville, N.C., at 5:45, 6:45 and 7:45 p.m.   This marks the second consecutive year the group has been featured on the program in one of the region’s top year-end holiday tourist attractions.
