Public Hearing on New School on Spout Springs Road

Published Jul 22, 2008

At the July monthly business meeting, the Hall County Board of Education announced plans to hold a public hearing on the new facility under construction on Spout Springs Road in Flowery Branch.  The hearing will immediately follow the regular monthly meeting (5:30 p.m.), which will be held on Monday, August 11, 2008 at the new Chestnut Mountain Elementary School on Union Church Road.  At the public hearing the Board will present a plan designed to maximize utilization of space to alleviate pressures of growing student populations at C.W. Davis Middle School and Flowery Branch High School.  The meeting will include a forum for community input. Scheduled to be completed in August 2009, the construction project also includes a joint venture with Hall County Parks and Leisure Service patterned after the successful ventures at Sardis Park, Hog Mountain Park, and East Hall Park.  This partnership will provide lighted ball fields and tennis courts for dual use by the school and the community.
