We look forward to building on the success of last year’s concert and are including other South Forsyth students in the planning, marketing and production of the event. South Forsyth students in the Advanced Marketing program are developing the marketing strategy for the event and the Culinary Arts program will be working with AppleCreek Restaurants to plan the catering and concessions for this year’s concert.

A portion of the proceeds from the concert will be used to fund scholarships for students from both programs.
On May 19th, nearly 300 feet below the earth’s surface, Martin Marietta will transform its South Forsyth quarry located adjacent to Johns Creek Business Park into a spectacular outdoor theatre. The concert will showcase the talents of the award winning Wind Ensemble from South Forsyth High School and feature Atlanta Rhythm Section as our headliner. Chase Mitchell, a young South Forsyth country rock artist, will open for ARS for an unforgettable night of music. Proceeds from the concert will benefit the band
program and be used to purchase instruments to support its rapid growth.
We will be selling up to 2000 tickets to the event with the target audience coming from the Johns Creek/South Forsyth area.
Transforming an active quarry into a concert venue is a challenge. The SF Band Boosters are looking for sponsors to support this event.
