Holly Theater presents Cole Porter's "ANYTHING GOES"

The Holly Theatre Company in Dahlonega, Georgia is becoming well known for their outstanding musical theatre presentations.  In 2006, hits such as Oklahoma!, The Wizard of Oz, and Fiddler on the Roof graced the stage of the Historic Holly Theatre playing to thousands of people from all over the North Georgia region.  The 2007 season will be no exception.  Anything Goes is the Holly's first musical production of the year, and will once again prove that the Holly Theatre Company has the magic formula for presenting high quality musicals. Anything Goes is the rollicking tale of assorted travelers on an ocean liner, where, yes, "Anything Goes"!

Anything Goes opens at the Historic Holly Theatre on Friday, March 16th at 8 pm with shows Thursday through Saturday evenings at 8 pm and Sunday afternoons at 2 pm through April 1st.  There is a preview performance at 7 pm on Thursday, March 15th. Under the guidance of stage director Tim Quigley, choreographer Becky Binion and musical director Leigh Ann McIlvain, and accompanied by a live five piece band, the Holly Theatre Company will present twelve performances of this popular show wrapped around some of Cole Porter's best songs (You're the Top, Anything Goes, Friendship, It's Delovely, I Get a Kick Out of You, and many more).

The cast for the Broadway classic includes:  Joey Ellington (Billy Crocker), Colleen Quigley Green (Reno Sweeny), Sarah Peavy (Hope Harcourt), Pam Batchelder (Mrs. Harcourt), Jamie Fambrough (Sir Evelyn Oakleigh), Bill Wilson (Moonface Martin), Heatherly Nelson (Bonnie), John Certusi (Elisha Whitney), Hal Williams (Captain), Terry Hackworth (Steward), Gary Heffelfinger (Purser), Rich Pilch (Bishop) and Rebekah Williams, Becky Binion and Jamie Certusi as Reno Sweeny's Angels.  Rounding out the cast is an outstanding ensemble of singers and dancers:  Nicholas DeMore, Jay Varnedoe, Charity Cagle, Vern Bowdish, Wendy Clark, Jennifer Rager, Valerie Fambrough, Stephanie Sartain, Mary Beth Tanner, Aleisha Turner and Jennifer Woodcock.
