Greetings -
Headwaters :: Stories From A Goodly Portion Of Beautiful Northeast Georgia, the community story performance being produced by the Sautee Nacoochee Center, is looking for lots of folks who want to be on stage or help us get there.
Attached is a flyer for auditions that will be held on Saturday March 24 from 10 am to 1 pm and on Saturday March 31 from 2 pm to 5 pm. We’ll be auditioning people in groups, so we’re asking folks to call the Center and make an appointment – 706 878 3300. The audition will take about an hour, and we promise it will be fun. Wear comfortable clothing (we'll be moving around), and think about a story that you could tell, from memory (please don't write it down), about either courage or loss.
Performances for Headwaters will be from July 7 – 22, 2007, and rehearsals will begin on May 7. Rehearsals will be scheduled so that performers with smaller parts will should expect to rehearse one to three times each week, performers with larger parts should expect to rehearse four to six times per week. The most intense rehearsal period will be from June 18 through July 6. Many roles will be double cast, so that multiple people know each part.
Headwaters needs more than performers – if you like to build things, enjoy being a technician, or like to collect and/or sew costumes, we need your help too!
Anyone who wants to be a part of this community performance adventure – and can commit the necessary time to making it a reality – is welcome to participate.
Please feel free to forward this email to anyone and everyone you think might be interested.
Please call the Sautee Nacoochee Center for more information: 706 878 3300
Looking forward to seeing you as we inventory the tremendous talent in our region!
