Hans Christian Andersen´s classic story of vanity and peer pressure comes to life in this comic tale of a fairy tale empire fixated on fashion statements. The Emperor must have new clothes! Despite all that his devoted - and exhausted - Court can do to convince him of his stylish superiority, he goes to greater and greater lengths to look elegant, original and above all, impressive. When two very clever though unscrupulous "tailors," Stitch and Tuck, get involved, the Emperor discovers that the best fashion to show is a little good sense. Tickets (adults $10-$12; children $7-$8) can be purchased at www.gainesvilleTHEATREalliance.org.
