Gainesville Theatre Alliance holds auditions for METAMORPHOSES

GAINESVILLE, GA. - Gainesville Theatre Alliance holds auditions for METAMORPHOSES, February 27, at 6pm, at Brenau University's Burd Center for Performing Arts (429 Academy Street, Gainesville 30501), in the Bobbitt Rehearsal Hall.

        METAMORPHOSES, Mary Zimmerman's Ovid-inspired play set in a pool of water, will be performed, April 17-28, in Gainesville State College's Ed Cabell Theatre, Oakwood. Jim Hammond, GTA's Artistic and Managing Director, is directing.

        Amateur and professional actors alike are invited to audition for ten roles (5 men, 5 women), ranging in age from 18 to 45. There may be one or two paid, non-equity roles for experienced actors. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script.

        Auditions are by appointment, in groups of 20 every 90 minutes. Callbacks will be held the following evening, February 28. To schedule an audition appointment, please call (678) 717-3606, or email fdibben@gsc.edu.
