Rain Barrel Workshops

Published Apr 9, 2008

The drought of 2007 called attention to the importance of water conservation and water-smart landscape and gardening practices. If you’re looking for a way to minimize your water use, yet maintain an attractive landscape a rain barrel may be the solution. Gainesville Public Utilities and the Hall County Extension Service have teamed up to offer a rain barrel workshop so you can build a working rain barrel for use at home. The next workshop will be Monday, April 14, at the Hall County Extension Office at 734 East Crescent Drive. Each workshop is $25 per person. For more information call Scarlett Fuller, Gainesville Public Utilities at 770-532-7462 or Billy Skaggs, Hall County Extension Service at 770-535-8293.
