Bert Weiss and his buddies from All the Hits Q100’s “The Bert Show” cheered walkers participating in the recent Atlanta 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer, as they crossed the finish line at Centennial Olympic Park. After a long and inspiring walk, 11Alive’s Karyn Greer wrapped up the weekend with inspiring words at closing ceremonies, after she and her 11Alive team participated in the Walk.
These are examples of the contributions that sponsors have made in making the 2007 Atlanta 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer a record-breaking success. This year’s Walk exceeded expectations, as more than 1,000 walkers participated and raised more than $1.5 million -- a 25 percent increase over last year.
As the official media sponsors for the Atlanta 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer, 11Alive and The Bert Show were instrumental in the success of the Walk. The Bert Show broadcasted live from the event and several members of the show participated as walkers, including Melissa Carter, Jeff Dauler, Jenn Hobby, Tracey Peluso and Hoss.
Greer led the 11Alive team this year, which included Donna Lowry, Marcita Thomas and Sam Crenshaw, who recently lost his sister to breast cancer. Greer also delivered the keynote speech during the Walk’s closing ceremonies and participated in the Walk both days along with her 11Alive News team members.

About the Atlanta 2-Day Walk
The Atlanta 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer is produced by It’s The Journey, Inc., a non-profit organization that raises funds and awareness for Atlanta-area breast cancer organizations via its 2-Day Walk and other events throughout the year.
