April 24 – Stage 4 Team Trials, Road Atlanta; April 26 – Spring Chicken Festival culminates downtown on Roosevelt Square with a chicken nugget eating contest, a LEGO building contest, petting zoo, pony rides, a sweet tea challenge, the ChickEkiden road race and the Chicken Feathers quilt show. The event that started it all four years ago, the Chicken City Spring chicken Cook-Off, will include nearly 1400 pounds of wings, whole chicken and specialty chicken.
