Spend a lovely fall afternoon in the North Georgia mountains at this fundraiser for Georgia Organics! Persimmon Creek opens their vineyard and decants each of their award-winning wines at tasting stations throughout the vineyard.
While visiting each tasting station, guest will sample the wine prepared from nearby harvest-ready grapes while learning about the vines, winemaking process, and the history of the farmland owned by the same family for nearly 150 years. Each wine will be paired with a tasting provided by Whole Foods Market. Persimmon Creek Vineyard is tended by the Hardman family, including their three young sons, and the grounds, stories and wine of Persimmon Creek promise a memorable fall afternoon in a beautifully scenic part of the state.
Escape for the weekend and enjoy the developing fall colors in the vineyard. The leaves on the grape vines also change color as the photosynthesis process ceases for the season, a process known as verasion.
