Lanier Technical College’s Healthcare Management Technology associate of applied science degree program prepares students for a variety of positions within the healthcare environment. Graduates work as medical office managers, departmental supervisors/managers, and admissions coordinators in hospitals, clinics, physicians’ offices, long term care facilities, insurance companies, retail sales, and managed care agencies.

Students have the option of taking courses in a traditional classroom setting or on-line in medical terminology, administration and procedures, medical law and ethics, healthcare statistics, medical records systems and management, medical coding, medical insurance, management of healthcare organizations, financial management, long-term care administration, human resource management, and current trends in managed care.
