The 5th Annual Art in the Square Festival is an event organized to support local artists and to increase awareness in the community of all the wonderful artists in our area. For one day only, Saturday, October 4th, professional and amateur artists from Gainesville/Hall County and the surrounding region will be displaying and selling original art work in all media. There will be a Children’s Artist Market, arts and crafts for kids, live music and performers, clowns, face painting, and featuring the great food from the restaurants around the Square.  

Artists entered will be judged by Dr. Delores Diaz of North Georgia College and State University, with prizes awarded for the winning works.  A special “People’s Choice Award” will also be given. Many participating artists will donate one small painting to be  displayed at Frames You-Nique from Sept. 1 to October 4, 2008 for a special Art Show and silent auction; 100% of the proceeds of the auction will benefit Challenged Child and Friends.
