The Monday demonstrating artists at the Georgia Heritage Center for the Arts, in Tallulah Falls, Jan Peak , Nancy Garrett and Patti Petit are challenging all artists to bring on their best take of "Georgia ’s Heritage" during the next two months.   For any Georgia Artist the biggest challenge in portraying Georgia ’s Heritage will probably involve narrowing down subject matter. That’s what the Georgia Heritage Center for the Arts  Monday demonstrating artists are hoping will happen during the June 14 through July 26 Member’s Art Show.  This is only the second juried art show in GHCA's 10 year history and brings new excitment to the arts community.

It all started as clay artist Jan Peak ’s idea to encourage artists’ participation in the Georgia Heritage Center the Arts shows. The trio of Monday artists brain stormed and are encouraging all member artists to participate and any non-member artists to join the Center and show their depictions of Georgia ’s Heritage.   The $25.00 membership makes any artists part of a lively art community, and the $10.00 show fee entitles artists to submit three large or five small works for the show.  There is an extra perk with this themed show as it will be up throughout the Mountain Arts Tour June 21-28.

The group will be accepting art work the week prior to the show and in a member show “first” the submitted work will be judged by a knowledgeable local art patron.  Georgia clay tiles will be awarded the top three artists at mid point during the event.
