WHAT: To help new and pre-drivers understand the importance of responsibility on the road, the Chick fil A® restaurant at Lanier Crossing will host a safe driving event for teens on Saturday, Nov 1. The event will be co-sponsored by Lanier Extended Area Driver Education Resource (LEADER), a volunteer organization that aims to reduce the number of automobile-related injuries for young people. Local professional racecar driver Chris Holbrook will attend the event in his racecar to speak with teens about racing on the track and not on the streets. In addition, LEADER will provide a Driving Simulator to allow new drivers, pre-drivers and their families an opportunity to learn more about driving safely on our streets. "According to LEADER, we lose more children aged 14 to 24 to automobile accidents than to any other cause,” said Mike Ridzon, franchise Operator of the Chick-fil-A restaurant at Lanier Crossing. "In my opinion, that is a preventable tragedy, and our Chick-fil-A family is proud to sponsor this event to promote safe driving in our community.” WHEN: Saturday, Nov. 1 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. WHERE: Chick-fil-A at Lanier Crossing 653 Atlanta Road Cumming, GA 30040 (770) 781-5256
